The Fondation de Nant organises all public psychiatric care in the eastern Vaud region. It fulfils a public health mission at the request of the State of Vaud. Its care services are open to all, children, adolescents, adults and elderly people living in the districts of Aigle, Lavaux-Oron and Riviera-Pays-d’Enhaut. They are provided by Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Educators and other mental health professionals. The Fondation de Nant is a member of the Federation of Vaud Hospitals (FHV), the umbrella organisation of recognised regional hospitals of public interest in Vaud. It is also part of the Haut-Léman Health Network which brings together health partners from the Riviera and Pays-d’Enhaut with those from the Vaud and Valais Chablais. Attached to psychoanalysis by its history, the Fondation de Nant currently identifies with its contemporary developments. The resulting clinical vision is expressed through its practices, training and openness to other approaches.
The Riviera-Chablais Vaud-Valais hospital, in collaboration with all its partners, has set up a rapid intervention mobile team (EMIR) to promote the maintenance of the person in an emergency situation at their place of residence. This team intervenes on medical mandate at home, to assess the situation within two hours and/or provide care to people over 18 years old, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

THE MISSION
Your main mission will be to intervene for non-life-threatening psychiatric emergencies within two hours at the patient’s place of residence and to establish a link with primary care teams (on-call doctors’ centre, psychiatric networks of eastern Vaud, psychiatric emergencies, nursing homes, EPSM …). Outside interventions, you will work with the SPAUL care team (psychiatric reception and liaison service) by delegation. This position also includes night shifts.

The rapid intervention mobile team is at the heart of one of the three services of the Fondation de Nant, a private institution recognised as being of public interest, mandated by the State to organise and provide psychiatric care in the eastern Vaud region. Working within this team means carrying out a diverse activity within an interdisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in the development of this project by promoting home care. You will also benefit from continuing education in the field of psychiatry and clinical assessment.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A nurse with at least two years’ experience in psychiatry (mainly in acute units or psychiatric emergencies), holding a nursing diploma recognised by the Swiss Red Cross. We are looking for someone interested in the field of psychiatric emergency care for both adults and the elderly. It is also important to have a good sense of organisation, autonomy in your work as well as good management of unexpected events and stress. Having a good capacity for analysis and interdisciplinary coordination is essential to work in this environment, as well as good relational, communication and negotiation skills. Finally, the person we are looking for must imperatively hold a driving licence.
